ADATA didn't say, in its press release, what controller it used in the making of the new SX1000L server solid-state drive, but considering that the official introduction will happen at the LSI Accelerating Innovation Summit, we can safely assume that it’s an LSI SandForce chip.

The read and write speeds of 550 MB/s and 500 MB/s, respectively, were also a pretty clear giveaway.

Sure, there are other ICs that can reach that much, but not when writing, with very few exceptions.

Anyway, the new SSD relies on the SATA 6.0 Gbps interface and features maximum 4K random read and write performance of 75K and 45K IOPS, respectively.

ADATA intends for the new product to serve organizations and systems planners seeking to create data centers and business servers, and other industrial/professional data hubs. Prices will probably vary based on haggling skills and order size.
