One thing about flash drives is that there can never be too many of them. Even though new ones seldom outdo old ones, they come out all the time, for the sake of freshness.

Of course, there are occasions when drives really do make leaps, like when a new USB specification is released.

The USB Implementers Forum hasn't come up with anything better than USB 3.0 though, so this is not one of those cases.

Basically, ADATA has introduced the DashDrive UV150, with 8 GB, 16 Gb or 32 GB capacity.

It reads at 90 MB/s and probably writes data at half that rate. It's hard to tell.

What ADATA did make a point of specifying in its press release is that the UV150 ships with Norton Internet Security 2013 (60-day trial) plus UFDtoGO, OstoGO software.

Glossy black and scarlet red color options are selectable. See the product page for more.
