The official site of Atomic Data and Analysis Structure for Fusion in Europe (ADAS-EU) didn’t stand a chance when Anonymous hacktivists started probing it. After successfully exploiting the flaws present on the website, the hackers leaked the organization’s Workpackage 4 database as a “teaser”.

Operating under the AnonOps Romania banner, the hackers published research data, along with instructions on how the agency’s servers could be exploited by leveraging the existing vulnerabilities.

If much of the data sample made available by Anonymous is also displayed on ADAS’s public site, the details given on how the security holes can be used could allow other hackers to gain access to information that may be more sensitive.

“There [on the vulnerable page] if you inject it, you will reach the same information and if you want their content you will have to download it directly from the main server aka backtrack --> get//root@access --> data dump. have fun,” they explained.
