ACCESS announced it has entered a partnership with Bytemobile to co-develop solutions that will enhance the Internet browsing experience on mobile handsets. As part of the agreement, the companies will integrate Bytemobile's embedded browser optimization technology with ACCESS' NetFront Browser and NetFront Mobile Client Suite. The new solution is expected to enable faster webpage loading times on mobiles, and to improve download speeds by a factor of up to 4x over current wireless networks. This will benefit both network operators and their customers, by reducing data traffic and bandwidth consumption.

"Consumer demand for open Internet access on handsets is emerging rapidly around the world, following the lead set by Japan," said Adrian Hall, vice president of Marketing and Business Development, Bytemobile. "We believe that this trend - coupled with the increasing affordability of smartphones and the proliferation of feature phones - will provide major opportunities for Bytemobile and ACCESS to deliver innovative customer solutions that take the Web to a new level of mobility."

ACCESS and Bytemobile will also sell ACCESS web browsers integrated with Bytemobile's Unison Optimization Services Node Monaco Edition. The combination will enable both client-server and server-based optimization of Internet browsing on mobile handsets. Toru Arakawa, ACCESS CEO, president and co-founder explained: "Our agreement with Bytemobile leverages the versatility and power of the NetFront Browser with the accelerated performance of OSN to help mobile network operators deliver enhanced network and content services to their customers."
