Frontman Brian Johnson has recently revealed some very good news for the band's fans, as he told Andy Preston on 98.7 The Gater that he and the rest of the band are going to be headed to the studio to record new material starting with this spring in the Canadian city of Vancouver.

Brian confirmed that they've been denying the rumors so far because none of the members was sure they were going to do this, but now they're in a position to make the news public. “But I think we'll be going into the studio in May in Vancouver. Which means, we should be getting ready.”

Also, he revealed some big plans AC/DC have to celebrate their 40-year anniversary. “It's been 40 years of the band's existence,” he said. “So I think we're gonna try to do 40 gigs, 40 shows, to thank the fans for their undying loyalty.”

“You know what?! It's been four years [since we last went out touring], and I'm really looking forward to it,” Brian Johnson said.

The band's last album was “Black Ice,” which was released in 2008 and managed to climb to the top positions of US and UK charts.
