AC/DC are keeping true to their word and moving ahead with the release of their newest album, “Rock or Bust.” The aging Australian rockers today released the track listing for their first album in six years.

The lead single from the album is going to be called “Play Ball” and it's going to be available for anyone who pre-orders the LP starting today, October 7. The release date for the entire album is given as December 2, 2014, which is less than 3 months away.

AC/DC gets ready to release their new album in 3 months

The track listing featured on their website reveals the album contain 11 new songs which were produced and mixed by Brendan O'Brien and Mike Fraser. What is not mentioned on the website, however, is the fact that this is going to be the first album that is not going to feature AC/DC band member Malcolm Young.

Malcolm has left the band last month, as it was announced he was no longer able to play on stage. Later, the Australian press revealed that Malcolm was suffering from dementia, an illness that affects short-term memory, and that he has been entered in a special facility that deals with such cases.

Though the band had an agreement to stop playing as soon as one of them quit the lineup or couldn't play anymore, the boys seemed to have reached a new consensus. Malcolm Young was replaced with his nephew, Stevie Young, who also played the rhythm guitar on the album as well, and will next take to the road with the band.

The band decided to go ahead without Malcolm Young who has retired due to his illness

Earlier this year, Malcolm's illness was the cause of a series of rumors that put the entire band out of commission. At the time, insiders speculated that AC/DC was going to retire from music, considering their standing agreement.

This has proven to be false, as Brian Johnson and the rest of the crew decided to have one more album out. Johnson admitted that he considered calling it “Man Down,” but they decided that it was to negative, and instead opted for “Rock or Bust,” which sounds more fitting if it's to be their last album ever.

“Rock or Bust” drops on December 2, and after that, the band is getting ready to start touring next year. Below is the track listing for their newest creation:

1. Rock or Bust 2. Play Ball 3. Rock The Blues Away 4. Miss Adventure 5. Dogs of War 6. Got Some Rock & Roll Thunder 7. Hard Times 8. Baptism By Fire 9. Rock the House 10. Sweet Candy 11. Emission Control.
