The developers working on Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation game for the PlayStation Vita at Ubisoft have acknowledged that the game has a serious bug, which affects both gameplay and saved game data and they say they are working on a fix.

The issue has been reported by a number of players and sees them left looking at the Animus loading screen, even if they reload their game or reset it.

There seems to be no way of recovering saved game data once the bug hits.

Ubisoft is suggesting that all players make regular backups for their saves using the Vita content manager to mitigate the effects of the bug.

This is only a stopgap measure and the Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation team is working on a fix that will be introduced via a future patch.
