A5 Jailbreakers, There’s a New Corona Waiting for You in Cydia

The hackers who maintain Corona, the A5 jailbreak on Cydia, have announced a new update that fixes errors loading images in iBooks, as well as the white app icon bug.

The original version of Corona “had sandbox kernel patches that broke iBooks. As of 1.0-5, Corona uses the working ones from comex,” according to its developers. As of Corona 1.0-6, planetbeing has done a large amount of work to improve errors loading images in iBooks,” say the people who maintain the tool.

The hackers clarify that versions 1.0-6 and 1.0-7 did not work on iPhone 4S under iOS 5.0. Corona 1.0-8 is out now, which should fix the stability issues after installing Corona in Cydia. The “white app” icon bug should also be fixed.

Cydia boss, Saurik, recommends that all jailbroken users running iOS 5.0.1 install the latest version of Corona.
