A Sex and the City Sex Tape Might Be Out There

The happy and peaceful world of the "Sex and the City" franchise was never shaken by anything more serious or "scandalous" than the occasional row between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Catrall. Not anymore. A very NSFW photograph has been making the rounds on the Internet depicting someone who looks a lot like Kristin Davis (who plays one of the famous four star characters, Charlotte) in a very Samantha-like pose, performing oral sex on a man whose face is not shown in the close-up. It is being claimed that the photo in question is in fact a still shot off a sex tape featuring the SATC alumn – in which case, the people behind the successful project will most likely have a lot on their hands. Literally.

One Internet porn blogger claims that the photo in question is just one of a whole set depicting Davis pleasuring a yet unknown man, and that the sex tape as such is currently being shopped around by an unknown broker. The same blog claims that there are more photos posted in the members' exclusive area of yet another adult video site. However, reports have started to flow in from people who have subscribed to the site in question, paid the subscription fee and couldn't find one single photo of the alleged Kristin. So it may very well be that this whole scandal is a hoax, although some have been quick to point out that its timing is very convenient – as the SATC movie is coming out in a couple of months' time.

If the sex tape were true, it would probably be one of the most ironic such scandals in recent cinema history – since we're dealing with a movie which is and has been regularly featuring hot, controversial topics related to... you guessed it... sex and its many shapes and packages. However, if we're dealing with a hoax, as I suspect, it will still generate a lot of publicity around the whole franchise – which is not in itself a bad thing. However, Kristin Davis must be feeling mortified just about now. No official statement has yet been released – stay tuned and we'll keep you up to speed with the latest developments in this story.
