According to the latest news on the web, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung might be on its way to release yet another high-end device that would include a 12-megapixel photo snapper, just like the recently announced Samsung Pixon12 M8910. The new handset, supposedly called M8920, is reported to have been caught on camera as well, so things might prove to be real after all.

Not only that the new device comes with the same 12-megapixel camera, but it is also reported to actually be able to deliver more features than the Pixon12 M8910, given the model numbers of the handsets. In case the M8920 is indeed another 12MP behemoth from the phone maker, it can only mean that Samsung is determined to lead the market with devices that sport high-quality cameras.

The new Samsung M8920 is stated to come with basically the same functionalities as the already unveiled Samsung Pixon12, though there are also a range of features that should leverage the user experience a little. Among them, we can count the fact that the new device is expected to feature 3x optical zoom, something that the previous model did not include.

There are, of course, a series of design-related differences between the two phones, yet the rest of the specs, including Xenon flash, Wi-Fi, DLNA and GPS should all be present in the M8920 as well. Most probably, the handset will also feature the camera technologies that were announced to come with Pixon12, as well as support for social networking sites and photo sharing features.

The only picture of the new Samsung M8920 that is available at the moment shows the handset from the back, so we have no idea what kind of a display it will feature, though it is expected to be a touchscreen one. As many of you might already know, Samsung is expected to announce something new on June 15, during the Samsung Unlocked event, and we might learn then that the company's second 12MP phone is official, so stay tuned.
