A ToDo app will become much more valuable after iOS 8 launches

iOS 8 will change the way you interact with most apps. If developers are creative enough, we will see some great examples of extensions done right. One of those was presented by Cultured Code, the developers of one of the first task managers for Mac and iOS, Things.

Things has kept its higher-than-others price, and even though the app has not been updated for iOS 7, its developers want to get up to speed for iOS 8, but they have made sure to include some of the most recent and interesting Apple APIs for their big release.

With Apple launching extensions, this was a great occasion for a task management app to make it easier to add tasks from anywhere in the operating system. For example, you could be browsing in Safari, and when you see a good recipe you want to try, just add it in your Things queue.

Cultured Code has already submitted version 2.3, which keeps the old design, but they are working on version 2.5, which will bring this extension to the users, and they also gave a 2.3 version for OS X Yosemite.

The next major update is Things 3 (currently in Alpha). The guys over at Cultured Code say that it will be a major update and will introduce a fresh visual style and some new cool features.
