Here is the new color for your iPod speakers. The Scandyna ones.

Audio gear manufacturer Scandyna is aiming for high sales over this year's holidays, or, at least, that is what we thought when we first saw its latest announcement regarding the iPod dock coming in a baby pink finish. We can hardly imagine some 200-pound bearded, tattooed biker, sitting on his couch and enjoying airy tunes coming out of this (very) pink speaker system. What we do see instead is a happy girlfriend unpacking these uber-cute speakers her boyfriend bought her for Christmas.

Well, enough romanticism, let's skip to the tech. If an iPod dock with top-notch sound and a very 60s look is your game, then game on, as the Pink Scandyna iPod Dock Pack is here.

You get two 2-way speakers with rounded, balloon-like cabinets, with excellent capabilities when it comes to breaking up the stationary waves, and thus most likely to give you a resonance-free acoustic performance. Inside these cabinets, you can find dual bass-midrange drivers with Kevlar cones, and two soft dome tweeters, for a crisp and well-staged sound.

Moreover, if you’re wondering why such a nifty driver array for an iPod dock, here's the second part: the dock also contains a Class T amplifier that will throw as much as 2 x 15 W RMS in the drivers, ensuring you've got more than enough for that romantic dinner you were thinking about. Each speaker comes with a tri-pod stand, which looks as retro as it gets (Scandyna has been around since '65, so that explains all this), and makes for a very nifty complement for the rounded and fluid shapes this 2.0 audio system boasts.

Now, to compensate for the pink color, just put all this power to good use and play those dense rock tunes from your iPod to see whether the $300 you just spent can really rock. Available in more than 800 stores in 30 countries – this means you could actually get one.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
