Artogon Games has decided to go forth with a new Treasure Seekers hidden object game that has the same main character, Nelly. Unlike the previous title, where you had to retrieve a lost treasure, in Treasure Seekers: The Enchanted Canvases you have to save your brother who went searching for the Philosophers’ Stone somewhere in an enchanted land.

You begin the game by discovering that you have the ability to enter the world of some magical painting that could hide the key to where your bother Tom might be. As you explore each enchanted painting you will find yourself faced with tasks of solving multiple puzzle games and finding objects that you need in order to unlock various elements of the scenario.

From the first time you will set foot in a new location you will find yourself compelled to solve one main quest, such as freeing a trapped warrior spirit or curing a young woman from being a werewolf. Each painting skillfully combines the hidden object world with the adventure and quest type, look and feel, which gives the game a unique spin. Finding objects is one thing, but at the same time creating magic potions and freeing trapped spirits is another.

While Nelly follows the path of finding her brother, you will be given the chance to solve dozens of mini games that involve logic and skills. Combining matching mini games and puzzles has proven to be a winning combination especially when you jump from finding the perfect butterfly to arranging some diamonds so that the light shined through them can reach a certain target.

The game is a true example of how a hidden object game should enfold in the eyes of the player. It doesn’t give away too much of the story at once and at the same time it tells you only what you need to know so that you can feel compelled to go on and explore some more mysteries. Each puzzle game that you solve can be considered a test, because, as you go further into the adventure, all the mini games will increase in difficulty. Luckily, there is a time status bar that charges on the bottom side of each puzzle and when it is complete, you can choose to skip the puzzle if you get stuck on it. This, however, will not affect in any way the ending or the progress of the game; it just means that you shouldn’t get stuck for a long time at a single puzzle.

Each magical paining has been carefully designed and animated so that you can feel more like in a fairytale rather than a game. It creates a perfect ambient for children who want to play challenging and captivating games because it has the tendency to narrate every major event, just like reading from a good bedtime story book. With quality graphics and close attention to details, you will be swiftly carried into a magical world where time seems to flow in every direction and both fantasy and reality intertwine creating the adventure of a lifetime.

At the end of the game, you will find your brother held captive in the castle of an evil magician who tries to deceive you into finding the Philosophers’ Stone for him. The only way to escape his evil magic is to find Tom and figure out a way to use the stone against the magician and banish him from our realms for all eternity. Although you will have a great deal of puzzles to solve and objects to find, at the end of the game you will have the satisfaction of finishing a great game and taking care of the bad guy.

On an overall basis, the new Treasure Seekers: The Enchanted Canvases is a very addicting game with puzzle elements that will test both your patience and your wits. If you want to give it a try, play the sixty-minute trial version to experience the game first hand and then, if you want more, the 19.99 dollar registration fee will surely unlock all the features of the game, giving you the adventure of a lifetime.
