Unleash your iPod without any wires

If I had been given the freedom to choose between a mid-range home stereo system and an audio speaker system with an iPod included, I would surely go for the last option. Do I have to give you reasons for it? I guess not, but I will give you a really interesting alternative to the wired docking stations and audio speaker systems designed to work with your music players from Apple...

Yesterday, IntelliTouch announced the world's first "digital wireless whole home speaker system for iPod", called "Eos". The EOS base speaker system is able to broadcast CD quality audio throughout your entire home, inside and out, up to 150 feet away without interferences.

The heart of this system is the iPod docking base station/transmitter that features two high performance stereo drivers, as well as a ported subwoofer. Using the SRS WOW sound enhancement technology, the system is able to improve the dynamic audio performance of compressed and uncompressed audio by expanding the size of the audio image and creating a deep and rich bass response.

The Eos base system is able to broadcast 48KHz audio from your iPod or from any other audio source using the auxiliary analog input (XM or Sirius Sattelite radio, San Disk or Zune MP3 players, computer and other devices that have an analog audio output) and uses the GigaWave Technology, a proprietary digital wireless technology to broadcast interference-free CD quality digital audio to up to four satellite receivers.

The dock of the system will charge your iPod no matter if the system is on or off, and the Infrared remote control will make your life much easier. The docking station with an additional wireless remote speaker will be available in black or white, for a price of 300$, and will ship in March. Pre-orders will be granted free shipping, and additional speakers and a weatherproof wireless outdoor amplifier are available for 130$.
