Samsung introduced the latest addition to its series of satellite DMB phones. After B100, B130 and B200 models, Samsung unveiled SCH-B250, which brings a new design and better features.
Samsung SCH-B250 has a pivotal LCD screen, with a resolution of 240x320 pixels, which rotates 90 degrees, which can be used in landscape mode and users are able to make phone calls and send
or receive messages, even if the TV is on. The DMB broadcast received by the phone can also be relayed to a regular TV through a TV output connector.
The phone may be used also for playing MP3 files, even if the SCH-B250 is turned off, and it is also equipped with a 2 megapixel camera and the photo editing function has been upgraded. This allows the user to change facial expressions on photos and other effects, including changing the picture frame design.
The 128-polyphonic sound chip has been built in to provide exquisite ring tones. The File Viewer function provides access to Microsoft Office or PDF files, and a 330,000-word dictionary is included in the software. The B250 also supports external memory of 256MB using TransFlash memory cards, IrDA, and mobile banking capabilities for user convenience.
For the moment Samsung SCH-B250 is available in Korea and those who wish to buy it should spend about US$700.
