Sanyo announced the launch of a new multimedia video projector, the LP-Z2000, which is fully compliant with the HD standard and offers a rich new 3D environment as well as high contrast ratios and silent operation being perfect for home movie viewing.

The new Sanyo LP-Z2000 video projector is intended to bring the home movie
projection experience into the digital age with its HDTV support and because of a large variety of available presets it is able to project large screens on a variety of surfaces. Because of its high native contrast ratio of 15,000:1 and new 3D Color Management system, the new Sanyo video projector is well suited for full HD high quality presentations. As the LP-Z2000 features lenses with multi directional shifting capabilities, top-bottom /left-right, large screen projections can be scaled down to smaller spaces and directed as necessary. As the entire projector is designed to work in a silent environment, its noise level is very low, reaching up to only 18dB.

In order to create a crisp and clear image perfect for viewing movies and presentations at a large resolution, the LP-Z2000 projector is equipped with a light source of 165 watts UHP that is able to deliver a brightness level of 1200 lumens. Connecting the projector to a personal computer is easily done as an analog RGB input Mini D-sub cable with 15-pins is provided so the host computer system needs only to have a supporting port. Other connectivity features are provided, like two digital video input ports compliant with the HDMI standard, as well as a S-video input and composite video port that is RCA enabled.

Sanyo integrated on the LP-Z2000 video projector a dedicated port for service use and diagnostics that lets users connect the device to a computer system through the provided mini DIN cable with 8 pins. The projector will be available in Germany starting 31st of August and in the United States from the 5th of September at the CEDIA Show in Denver, Colorado.
