MTV is preparing to take the reality show world by storm with a brand new comedy series, starring the rappers from the band Three 6 Mafia. The show, that will present their lives ever since they left Memphis and settled in Los Angeles looking for fame, will kick off in the early quarter of 2007.
Besides the two remaining members of the band, Juicy J and DJ Paul, the rapper's personal assistant, Big Treice, will also appear in the comedy reality show. Computer (the band's Internet consultant) and Project Pat (an extended member of Three 6 Mafia) will have starring roles.
The action takes place in LA and, until now, only eight episodes of the series have been ordered. In order to make others, MTV is waiting to see how the public reacts. But they are very optimistic, as they say that the young target group to which the network directs its shows is always looking for something new.
'We've had tremendous success with these types of shows - 'Wild N Out', 'Run's House', 'Ashley Parker Angel', 'The Newlyweds', 'The Osbournes' - and are consistently changing and experimenting with our programming line-up, giving the MTV audience fresh new characters, stories and ideas to experience and connect with on multiple platforms', the executive vice president for series development and programming for MTV said.
