A New Media Scandal Could Involve Chelsea and AC Milan

The saying goes like this: "everything comes with a price". This seems to be the perfect definition of the situation Chelsea finds itself these days. After succeeding in signing one of the best midfielders in the world - Michael Ballack - Chelsea's officials quickly set a new target: Ukrainian Andryi Shevcenko

Although everybody was pretty reticent on the chances that the AC Milan striker will play for Chelsea next season, it was more than likely that Sheva would have announced his intent of leaving the Milanese club this Thursday. Although he is
under contract with AC Milan, there are plenty of reasons why the Ukrainian should leave his current club, mostly because he doesn't want to play in Italy anymore.

What seemed like a deal for the two clubs - Milan would have taken a record of 65 million euro for the striker - has now turned into a future media scandal. "The Mirror" British newspaper revealed that AC Milan officials have tapped-up the Ivorian striker of Chelsea, Didier Drogba, for a future transfer at San Siro. That could be the main reason for Drogba's declarations in the media last week, in which he stated that he is no longer satisfied with his place in Chelsea's plans and wants to leave England as soon as possible.

The talks between the two clubs are now suspended and may turn into a scandal, since Chelsea's officials are extremely angry for what the Milanese have done. The interesting part of all this is that, like I was saying in the beginning of the first paragraph, Chelsea had done the same thing, tapping-up that is, to Arsenal last year, when they approached Ashley Cole for a future transfer.

After this new episode in the Milan - Chelsea talks, it's more than likely that the English side will put an end to their efforts of signing the Ukrainian and start focusing on how they could get Man U's Ruud Van Nistelrooy. But that's something that we'll most likely find out on Thursday, when Shevcenko's decision will put an end to all these rumors.
