The graphics enhancement driver for Windows 8 offers DirectX 11.1 support

ASRock has just added version 2.1.221 of the Lucid Virtu MVP driver to its Z77 Extreme11 motherboard driver database. This release comes with Windows 8 and DirectX 11.1 support

Among the fixes, we find the Cyberlink Media Espresso issue, integrated/Discrete GPU indications in Control Panel MainTab and license issues during versions update from Virtu MVP 2.1.115.

The update will check the existing .NET and suggest downloading a more recent version, if case be.

Lucidlogix released the 2.1.221 Virtu MVP a while ago, but ASRock's Z77 Extreme11 was included on the “supported products” list just now.

The driver we're talking about includes three components: GPU Virtualization (helping applications use either the integrated GPU or the discrete one for the best performance), Virtual Vsync (allowing gamers to enjoy their games without having to deal with the 60fps cap set by the in-game vsync) and HyperFormance (a tweak that removes redundant rendering tasks, therefore increasing response performance).

As usual, we leave you with the download links, so you can stay “updated one minute ago.”
