The V1010 LifeBook starts with a good hardware setup

Fujitsu Computer Systems Corporation just announced the launch of a new mobile computer system, the LifeBook V1010 notebook, which was designed and manufactured for budget minded consumers and it is intended to be used as both a personal computer system as well as a small business powering machine. The V1010 comes with a starting price tag of just below the $800 and it is said to offer the computing power and reliability usually associated with the high-end notebook models.

The Fujitsu LifeBook V1010 notebook features a 15.4-inch widescreen display that combines a high native resolution with the Crystal View contrast technology and offers the best compromise between portability and a high desktop surface area. On the operating systems' side, the newest iteration of the LifeBook series comes with a wide range of options like Windows Vista Business or Windows XP Professional as well as a wide range of central processing units including the popular Intel made Core 2 Duo T5200 and the Pentium Dual Core T2130.

The entry level LifeBook V1010 notebook comes with a price tag of just $799 and on the hardware side it includes an Intel dual core T2130 central processing unit that runs at 1.86GHz and has 1MB of L2 cache memory and supports the 533Mhz frontside bus. On the graphics side the 15.4 inch widescreen display is powered by an Intel made integrated graphics solution, the Graphics Media Accelerator 950, while on the ransom access memory side it comes with a default 1GB of DDR2 memory that runs at 533Mhz and which is laid up in a dual channel configuration.

A 120GB Serial ATA I hard disk drive with a rotational speed of 5400rpm and a dual layer and multi format compatible DVD burning unit takes care of users' data storage needs while the presence of a 56K3 V.90 modem and wired Ethernet interface makes connecting to any wired network a very simple task. For wireless networking the LifeBook V1010 comes equipped with the Atheros Super AG interface that is compatible with the 802.11a/b/g wireless networking standards.

A spill resistant keyboard is also present and it helps the notebook survive the worst accidental spills while its main battery is made of lithium ion six power cells that are rated for a lifetime of up to two and a quarter hours on a single battery charge. The entry level LifeBook V1010 and all superior models are now available from the online Fujitsu store and through its retail partners and according to the news site notebookreview, the higher end version that comes outfitted with Windows Vista Business, an Intel Core 2 Duo T5200 processor and an impressive 2GB of RAM is priced at $899.
