Club 3D has launched a new GPU designed for the HD video enthusiasts, implemented for optimal HD video support with Blu-ray and HD-DVD. This newest video card from the Club 3D company is based on the remarkable overclocking 8600 video processor. Helped by a good amount of video RAM this card should perform at least satisfactory even in the latest games.

The Club 3D 8600GT Passive features 512MB of GDDR2 video RAM running at a frequency of 1000MHz and a video processor speed of 540MHz. The bus interface is the new PCI Express x16 and the memory interface is 128 bits wide. While a little slower in terms of pure amount of Mhz, this Club 3D has the advantage of being silent, unlike most "big game" video cards out there. Because it is equipped with a massive radiator and two heat pipes, the card will be able to support some overclocking too, without the risk of damage due to overheating.

This 8600Gt comes packed with all the goodies needed for latest generation gaming, including HDR that improves the natural look and feel of a game by adding more color complexity and increased contrast. For an optimal reliability, stability, increased lifespan and ergonomics, Club 3D implemented a high quality cooling system to keep the 8600GT Passive in top condition, even during the most demanding games and video applications. Support for Nvidia SLI technology is of course, included.

Club 3D designed this board with a Dual Link DVI connector and one classical CRT connector. Users will be able to use either a LCD panel with resolution ranging up to 2560 by 1600, or use a CRT based monitor for a maximum resolution of 2048 by 1536 at 85Hz. Full dual monitor mode is supported for analogue and digital displays. Thanks to the Hifg Definition Video Output module, users can achieve true 1920 by 1080 progressive display output to generate plasma or LCD television sets.
