I guess that naming Tokyoflash the undisputed gurus of weird and unique wristwatches is not too much at all; one needs just a look at groundbreaking models like Infection, Rogue or Scramble to understand why these guys have managed to build such a reputation in the gadget industry. It's in their very nature to create time-keeping pieces with strong personality and unique character, destined to end up on the hands of discerning customers willing to make a difference.

The latest Tokyoflash watch has just been released and despite its rather menacing name, it brings a very positive approach to modern time-keeping.

The Tokyoflash Negative sports an always-on LCD that's both stylish and funky at the same time, being sporty yet elegant and therefore suitable for both a bike ride in the park and a fancy party. The wristband comes in either polished silver or black finish, while its metallic construction ensures a comfortable wear and safety as well.

One of the neatest functions of the Tokyoflash Negative watch is that its wearer can select between various LED colors for the backlighting; this brings the concept of customization in the world of wristwatches: basically you can now match the color of your watch to the clothes you plan to wear on different occasions... and instead of buying multiple watches, you can have one to do everything.

Reading the display might need a little practice, but that's a Tokyoflash key-element; though, when compared to other wacky designs, the Negative is pretty easy to decipher: and if you need further proof, just take a closer look at the Infection model! The screen displays time and date using a square LED matrix, with unlit pieces telling the time in nice contrast with the sparkling lit ones; and if that's not enough, you can also have the device display the time either with a horizontal or vertical alignment.

The Tokyoflash Negative retails for around $160 and you can get it directly from the manufacturer's website.
