A More Secure Email Currently in Labs

Security company Webroot and Email Systems, a company based on SaaS (Software as a Service) technologies, announced a partnership that will bring a more secure and safer email technology with several protection utilities. The financial terms were not disclosed but the two companies intend to combine Webroot AntiSpyware Corporate Edition with AntiVirus and the SaaS security to design a secure email service.

The new organization will incorporate the management, sales, marketing and technical teams of our two companies to create a true global partnership", said Mike Irwin, COO, Webroot Software.

"Our customers will now be able to easily engage a multi-layered security strategy that includes industry-leading end-point and SaaS-based perimeter security in a unique and integrated package. Additionally, it will all be offered through our combined global network of channel partners."

Until now, several companies have teamed up to build new email technologies based on security features which will be able to block the majority of spam messages delivered in your inbox, threats, viruses and other dangerous content coming into the email account. This time, Webroot and Email System believe they are able to build such a powerful tool.
