Thermaltake Technology established itself on the high-end PSU market many years ago. With a strong reputation and a large variety of products, Thermaltake Technology steps now into the market of entry-level PSUs and brings users the "Litepower 400W".

"Lite" as in not too strong or heavy is a very inspired name for this power source as it is not a heavy-duty PSU, it is designed for the average home-user
that still wants more stability and, why not, a recognized high brand on the market.

Being only an entry-level PSU, Litepower has no fancy coating or a large number of cables or connectors. It has a more classical design than its current competitors, but the quality of its components and that of its output bears the mark of Thermaltake, being excellent.

All components found in Litepower are made by leading manufacturers and only certified "green" materials were used, as required by the RoHS standard. Litepower 400W has support for high-end NVIDIA or ATI video cards, using a single 6-pin PCI-Ex connector, while two dedicated 12V rails with constant voltage output provide additional power. For SATA-based hard-drives, Lirepower has two power connectors and 6 molex connectors, increasing the possibility of future hardware upgrades.

The 12cm fan is equipped with automated thermal control so the fan speed will increase when needed and overall will let users experience a more silent PSU.

Like each and every ThermalTake product, Litepower 400W has a number of safety features including Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Over Current Protection (OCP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP) and No Load Operation Protection.

This ThermalTake product is designed specifically for users that do not wish to spend a lot of money buying a PSU that will never be used at full capacity, but at the same time wish to have one of the best products in its class.
