A History of the World According to Movies

Some people have a lot of time on their hands. Some of them get bored and some get creative. After all, mankind's greatest discoveries belong to people that had too much time on their hands.

This above mentioned abundance of spare time might have been the reason behind a peculiar site on the internet. Apparently, someone took the time and energy to create a web page that maps historical events according to movies. The premise for this is that all events presented in movies are real.

Of course, the project is only in the beginning and help is welcomed. Anybody who wants to post some "historical" events according to, let's say… Godzilla and Minority Report can do that by using a link found on the page www.paulkerensa.com/movietimeline.
Your information will be checked out, sorted and finally, posted on the web page. You'll then be able to applaud yourself for taking part in the creation of an alternative, eccentric history book.

To get a better idea of exactly how such a timeline looks like I've sampled here a number of events according to several movies.
