Microsoft announced that it will showcase its perspective on the future of online advertising at the third annual Demo Fest. Demo fest is a two-day gathering that is taking place on the
Redmond Campus, and this week, Microsoft will deliver a preview of the breakthrough digital advertising tools developed by adCenter Labs. According to Microsoft, the advertising tools that will be presented at Demo Fest are based on approximately 60 technologies under development at adCenter Labs. The Redmond Company has added that the technologies showcased at Demo Fest have been categorized into seven areas: keyword and content technologies, ad selection and relevance, audience intelligence, social networking, video, platforms, and devices.

"The technologies showcased at Demo Fest will help create unprecedented opportunity for developers and search engine marketers like the Keyword Services Platform," said Tarek Najm, distinguished engineer and general manager of Microsoft adCenter at Microsoft. "KSP is a service that provides a framework for researchers to plug in advanced algorithms in the form of building blocks to be consumed by developers for building sophisticated advertiser applications."

Via the Keyword Services Platform, Microsoft will deliver a set of web service APIs that are based on keyword technologies, assisting developers with the creation of intelligent applications for online advertising. The Redmond Company has also focused on separating the consumers with a clear intent to buy from the users surfing for product information.

Microsoft intends to transform social video sharing, offering video as a medium for collaboration, by permitting users to interact via a synchronized "commenting" technology. The audience's size, gesture and demographics are also under Microsoft's spotlight with large interactive display feedback technology. Advertisement relevance will also be improved via content classification.

"Microsoft adLabs research tools show marketers how consumers behave online," said Aaron Goldman, director of client strategy and development for Resolution Media. "This kind of critical insight is what our industry has sought for years in order to market brands holistically online."
