It's been a shorter than usual week here at Softpedia and a busy one, with both H.A.W.X. 2 from Ubisoft and Halo: Reach getting plenty of play time, as exemplified by two Quick Looks and one Gamer Diary talking about the overall feel of the two titles.

On Tuesday Bobby Kotick, the Chief Executive Officer of Activision Blizzard talked about how Bungie, who will work with his company on a new game universe, is the
last independent developer that puts out high quality content.
On the same day Bungie announced that it plans to put out an update for
Halo: Reach in early October, with the biggest addition being cooperative campaign matchmaking that will allow players to tackle missions out of their narrative order.
Wednesday was the the day when Sony launched the
3.50 firmware update for the PlayStation 3, with the main new feature being 3D playback for Blu-ray movies, but with changes also made to the XMB and other services.
At the same time Blizzard launched the 1.1 patch for its real time strategy hit
Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty.
On Thursday Rocksteady put out some new information about the new Batman video game,
Arkham City, saying that the story will focus on a closed off segment of Gotham which the Capped Crusader believes will eventually pose a threat to the city.
On the same day a news of a new title dedicated to
Pop King Michael Jackson emerged, called Planet Michael and set to cover the MMO segment.
Friday we found out that Halo: Reach has managed to dethrone Modern Warfare 2 as the most played video game on
Xbox Live while Electronic Arts reiterated their idea that
Medal of Honor will manage to beat Call of Duty in the future, without mentioning whether it's near or far.
