This week we have been football crazy, with a full review of FIFA 12 from EA Sports up on Softpedia, but we also had the time to play and comment on other video game launches.
We have also created Quick Looks for
RAGE, with some included bugs, for the
Hearts of Iron - The Card Game and for the demo version of
Might & Magic Heroes VI.
The Weekend Reading article of the week deals with the launch price of the
MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic and its chances at success while the
EndWeekGame piece talks about how we will spend our time this weekend.
And, like every other week of the year, we have a selection of the most interesting words we have written lately.
On Monday the developers at DICE talked about the multiplayer beta for
Battlefield 3 and about how all issues with it will be fixed before launch just as the developers of
Max Payne 3 at Rockstar described the way Bullet Time will work in the new entry in the series.
Tuesday
Battlefield 3 again made the news as one analyst predicted that it might sell between 8 and 12 million units across the board, depending on the reviews immediately post launch, while the Ubisoft people working on the Assassin's Creed series talked about the 2012 game that will conclude
Desmond's story.
Wednesday RAGE was the talk of the day as the developers at id Software explained that the graphics problems on the PC were caused by inadequate
drivers from Nvidia and ATI.
Meanwhile IO Interactive was talking about
Hitman Absolution and about how the multiplayer side of the game will handle Agent 47's abilities.
Thursday
Rockstar lowered the hopes of the PC community of ever getting a version of Red Dead Redemption while Sony offered information on how the
Remote Play for PlayStation Vita will work on launch.
On Friday
Need for Speed: The Run received the PC system requirements while SEGA launched the
Football Manager 12 demo.
