This week the reviews section of the Games section is filled with: NBA 2K13, the basketball simulation from Visual Concepts and 2K Games which benefits from Jay-Z executive producer skills, Chaos on Deponia, an adventure game from Germany that has interesting art and some weird puzzles, and Hitman: Absolution, the action and stealth game starring Agent 47.

We also have a Quick Look, with included gameplay video, for HAWKEN.

When it comes to gamer Diaries, we continue to share our experiences with Halo 4, the first-person shooter from 343 Industries and Microsoft, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, the blockbuster from Treyarch and Activision Blizzard.

We also have the usual two Weekend Reading pieces: one dealing with Hillary Clinton’s appearance in Black Ops 2 and another about Wii U and its future chances to impress.

We also have the usual EndWeekGame piece and a selection of the most interesting news from the past seven days.

On Monday, the week began with information about coming Black Friday deals from a variety of outlets, including Steam and Amazon.

On Tuesday, Grand Theft Auto V was the star as the developers at Rockstar talked about the potential for bank robberies in the game and about the California small towns the game would depict.

Wednesday brought us news that Black Ops 2 received an important patch for the Xbox 360 and Sports Interactive updated Football Manager 2013 in order to change the core game mechanics.

On Thursday, we talked about the problems that Assassin’s Creed 3 from Ubisoft is facing on the PC and Microsoft Game Studios says that it is directly competing with Apple, Amazon and Google.

On Friday, we had a big Call of Duty patch and another linked to Halo 4.

On Saturday, THQ clarified comments made about the Wii U home console while a developer at Kojima Productions talked about Platinum Games’ involvement with Metal Gear Solid: Revengeance.
