Summer is astronomically upon us as well and we are still dealing with the aftermath of E3 2012 even as we are trying to find new and innovative ways of dealing with the heat that’s currently dominating Romania.

You can keep up with our Gamer Diary for Sins of a Solar Empire – Rebellion, the space-bound real-time strategy game from developer Ironclad Games and publisher Stardock.

You can also check out the Softpedia review for Quantum Conundrum, the puzzle game from the same creator who made the first Portal.

We also have a Quick Look for the recently released Pro Cycling Manager 2012, from developer Cyanide and publisher Focus Home Entertainment, and I followed that up with another Gamer Diary which recreates Le Tour de France in a virtual space.

When it comes to Weekend Reading features, we deliver the usual two: one of them dealing with the way just one game can dominate an entire year of playing time for a fan, and another about Mass Effect 3 and its new ending.

As always, we also have an EndWeekGame piece about our plans for the weekend and a selection of the most interesting news from the last seven days.

On Monday, id Software praised how the upcoming Doom 3 BFG looks when played with stereoscopic 3D and Sony admitted that it should have given more space to the Vita during its E3 presentation.

On Tuesday, we found out about the pre-order bonuses for FIFA 13 Ultimate Edition while Crytek blamed Sony and Microsoft for lack of free-to-play on home consoles.

On Wednesday, fans digging through the Extended Cut DLC for Mass Effect 3 found hints that another package called Leviathan might be launched and Bethesda talked about the future of Skyrim.

Thursday saw Activision confirming that Nuketown was making a return for Black Ops II as a pre-order incentive and BioWare talked about future plans for Mass Effect 3.

On Friday, Blizzard lifted restrictions of Diablo III while a Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 developer talked about the series’ rivalry with FIFA. On Saturday, we found out a renaissance of the action adventure genre via the return of Splinter Cell while Sony expressed pride at its E3 2012 presence.
