This week has been dominated by the announcements that Blizzard has made about Diablo III, from the fact that the game will require an always-on Internet connection to run to the fact that there will be no mods allowed for it.

But we also managed to deliver a Softpedia review for Pro Cycling Manager 2011 this week, as well as a Quick Look at Supreme Ruler Cold War.

And we also have a Weekend Reading piece about Blizzard, Diablo III and its PC origins and a EndWeekGame article about what I plan to enjoy during the weekend.

And we also deliver a selection of the news that dominated the week.

On Monday, the developers at Infinity Ward have revealed that, when balancing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, they have decided to remove the Commando perk while Blizzard talked about Diablo III and justified why the game needs to always be connected to the Internet.

On Tuesday, Blizzard clarified the issue of real-world auction houses, saying that they will never be implemented in World of Warcraft despite them coming to Diablo III, while DICE revealed that Battlefield 3 will have an Online Pass feature.

Wednesday was all about pre-orders, with three cars announced as exclusive for those who pay now for Need for Speed: The Run and with the announcement that beta access will be offered to those who get Battlefield 3 via the Origin digital distribution service.

On Thursday, Activision Blizzard announced that World of Warcraft subscription numbers have gone down to 11.1 million while in other MMO news BioWare said that a launch date for Star Wars: The Old Republic is missing because of the high expectations linked to the game.

On Friday, we found out what kind of pre-order bonuses Battlefield 3 would get from the retailers in North America, including new weapons and more dog tag options, while the Nintendo Wii version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was revealed to be developed by Treyarch.
