This week was dominated by the 2010 edition of Gamescom, the biggest European gaming event, taking place in Köln, Germany. We have had the chance to be there and bring you the latest news and hands on reports about the games that are in development at the biggest publishers in the world.

Despite the limited time because of our extensive coverage of the German convention, we have had time to bring a review of the dangerously addictive Puzzle Quest 2 and take a quick look at Top Gun on the PlayStation Network.

Monday was one of the last days of QuakeCon, another big event in the industry. We found out that Rage had finally received a release date for North America and Europe. On the same day, GSC Game World officially announced S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, to the joy of many PC gamers.

Tuesday, Microsoft, Electronic Arts and Sony chose to have their pre-Gamescom press briefings. An European launch date for Kinect was announced by Microsoft. Electronic Arts had its share of interesting news: a release date for Dragon Age 2, the quite surprising release of Mass Effect 2 on the PlayStation 3 and the new brand ambassador for EA Sports Active.

Sony also unveiled some stuff and we were lucky enough to be there to bring you the news as soon as possible. There were quite a few surprises, talks of new PlayStation 3 hardware and an European release date for the long awaited Grand Turismo 5.

Wednesday was the press exclusive day at Gamescom. Still, there was quite a big crowd present there. Despite this, we managed to get our hands on Fallout: New Vegas, Hunted: The Demon's Forge and Age of Empires Online.

Thursday, Warhammer 40,000 fans were happy to hear that more titles were to come in the Dawn of War franchise. Gamescom open to the public, but we manged to sneak it to see Dragon Age 2, Diablo III, the beautiful Rage and Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Friday was the last day of our presence at Gamescom 2010. Where we saw that Crysis 2 in 3D is really something spectacular and the you need to careful in Medal of Honor's multiplayer mode.
