This week, the review department of Softpedia Games has long-form evaluations for the following titles: Ether One, LEGO The Hobbit, Depths of Fear: Knossos, Moebius: Empire Rising, Trials Fusion and 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil.

We also deliver the editorials associated with the world of gaming: one about the chances that Nintendo has to revive the Wii U or succeed with other hardware launches and another about DLC, Titanfall and Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare.

The Gamer Diaries are following my adventures in the Hannibal at the Gates campaign  for Total War: Rome II, with info about the performance of the AI, the Rajas of India expansion for Crusader Kings II, the grand strategy title from Paradox Interactive and the new FIFA World Cup Game.

On Monday, a new record speed run was announced for Half-Life and the development team working on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt talked about the resolution and the frame rates that would be offered on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

At the same time, Harmonix talked about the possibility of bringing both Dance Central and Rock Band to next-gen consoles.

On Tuesday, more information about the deaths and kills in Dark Souls 2 was offered, while Microsoft delivered a major firmware update for the Xbox One and a report suggested that the Steam controller from Valve would be launched at some point in October of November.

On Wednesday, Sony Online Entertainment offered more big images taken from its upcoming H1Z1 and the team at Respawn Entertainment offered information about the future of Titanfall and the new features that would be added.

Meanwhile, Activision and Infinity Ward announced that a voice pack featuring Snoop Dogg would be offered for Call of Duty: Ghosts on April 22.

On Thursday, the Xbox One version of the new Amazing Spider-Man 2 was delayed indefinitely and might never be launched and a report talked about a potential Chinese launch for the Xbox One for July, with cheaper games, as the Grounded Bundle was revealed as coming to The Last of Us as last DLC piece.

On Friday, the full panel for the Civilization: Beyond Earth announcement was posted online, a rumor talked about an April 30 launch date for new PlayStation 4 firmware and Sony announced that its console had defeated the Xbox One in terms of sales during March in the United States.
