George R.R. Martin will use that “Blank Space” to kill off your favorite character when you least expect it

You wouldn’t think that Taylor Swift and George R.R. Martin have that much in common, but that’s probably because you haven’t seen the latest viral video from Nerdist. It pairs the two in the most surprising and hilarious manner, delivering the perfect mashup between her “Blank Space” single and his “Game of Thrones” HBO show.

Taylor once revealed that “Blank Space” was the story of her life, if she were the person the media had been portraying her as: clingy, desperate, slightly insane, moving from boy to boy in search of her perfect Prince Charming, that would grow old with her and her cats.

Meanwhile, “Game of Thrones” is based on Martin’s “Song of Ice and Fire” series of novels, aka the most unpredictable fantasy work around. Just like on the show, no character is really safe in the books, and if you’re made to pick a favorite by the story, he or she will probably meet a gruesome death along the way.

The video below is Martin (Nick Mundy) singing to Daenerys Targaryen (Emily Rudd) of the many ways she can find death in Westeros. Those include “zombies, axes, giants, blades,” but also treason, dragons and anything else you can think of.

As the video ends, another character makes an entrance, which is a clear indication that this George R.R. Martin has already decided he’s had enough of the Mother of Dragons. Let’s just hope the real-life Martin doesn’t feel the same way, because that would be a huge shame.
