There are few people out there who haven't heard of “Full House,” an iconic sitcom which aired originally on ABC between 1987 and 1995, simply because the show is still going strong today thanks to generous re-runs on cable television.

Now there is a real buzz around Hollywood that the lovable family is going to make a comeback on the small screen after all these years. TV Guide has the details of this comeback and it claims that the cast of the show is already on board.

The main protagonist in this project is John Stamos, who played the part of Uncle Jesse on the show, and who owns a stake in the series. The other stars, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier are also said to be on board, as they have expressed their wish for a revival on numerous occasions in the past.

Earlier this year, the public got its first taste of a reunion during a Super Bowl yogurt commercial when the trio appeared together on screen to reprise their roles after so many years. Later, they did a sketch together on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show, again as their Full House characters, and the response was phenomenal.

The cast is said to have remained good friends over the years and this is facilitating the revival process. The speculation now is that the show is going to be brought back, but it's going to have a twist in the tale, just like another ‘80s show, “Boy Meets World,” which was recently brought back on the Disney Channel as “Girl Meets World.”

No word yet if the Olsen twins are going to make an appearance on the new show.
