Is it possible to automatically deploy a free WordPress ready made website with Google AdSense integration? The answer is yes and there are two alternatives: the usage of a WordPress plug-in or a ready made template providing the possibility to manage Google text ads automatically, without the need to create a certain HTML or PHP code for your web pages.

Guru Manager is a free
WordPress theme that allows anyone to control the Google text ads displayed inside a WordPress blog. This theme permits users to change the colors for background, links, blog title and more, without accessing the administration panel. The main banner can also be changed in the same way, by selecting a predefined image or a custom one.

Practically, this theme and all others of the same type (with adsense management included) will simplify the work both for beginners and advanced webmasters. The theme is easy to install. After you unzip the distribution archive you must copy the content of the template folder in the directory themes from your WordPress installation directory, by following the path /wp-content/themes/.

Then, from the WordPress administration panel you must select this theme as default. Navigating to the main page in the WordPress front end, you will see the direct links for theme customization. After you specify the Google AdSense registration details, the Google text ads will be shown in the theme header (by default). From the same menu, you have the option to define links (internal or external) for the navigation menu bar displayed also in the theme header.

Other theme style elements and widgets appearance can be customized using the Theme Editor from the Presentation menu in the main WordPress administration panel. For example, you can control the appearance of your Google text ads and their position. By opening the file header.php in Theme Editor, you will identify the next piece of code, which controls the Google ads display:

CODE

google_ad_client = "";
google_ad_width = 700;
google_ad_height = 15;
google_ad_format = "728x15_0ads_al_s";
google_ad_channel ="";
google_color_border = "FFFFFF";
google_color_bg = "ffffff";
google_color_link = "283A91";
google_color_url = "008000";
google_color_text = "000000";

In this code you can freely change the backgroung color, text and link colors and more (HTML code), but you must leave intact the PHP code lines. If you want to display Google ads on the page footer, just paste this code in the file footer.php after the "cite" tag.

In this case you can maintain google_ad_width and google_ad_height the same, but if you want to include Google ads in posts, then these variables must be changed. When you need to include Google text ads in your posts (on all pages) just copy and paste the code presented here (but with Guru Manager selected as WordPress theme) in the file index.php (Main Index Template as viewed in Theme Editor), between the next two code lines:

CODE

This article is reffering to the customization of Guru Manager theme. In other situations, you can insert the Google ads in the same manner in different positions within your WordPress blog, but you will need to customize the ads display script first.
