A "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" Phone Launched on KTF

Many of us have reached a situation when owning and using, at the same time, two different phones was the only thing we could do. This type of condition has inspired the phone manufacturers that came with a solution: the double SIM-ed cell phone, a device that offers simultaneous support for two different phone numbers, often from two different carriers. This is the nature of the phone that I'm writing about in this article, the EV-K170 handset, a phone recently launched on the Korean's KTF (Korea Telecom Freetel)
network.

Being a phone with two different identities, it also has two different modes of operation: B and H. The B one is supposedly named after the noun "business" and the second after "home". The user is able to swap between the two mentioned modes and thus capable of sending and receiving phone calls with the two available numbers. Together with these features, one also has access to a 1.3 megapixel digital camera, an FM radio and a voice recorder meant to make his mobile life a little easier.

It isn't a new idea and other phones that use the same technology have also been released in the past but, unfortunately, the phone manufacturers aren't paying enough attention to it as we would like them to (or at least as I would).

Therefore, until the next time someone decides to develop another dual-SIM cell phone, if you live in Korea and you happen to be a KTF user, then you should go for it and assure yourself that you're not left out of it and get your hands on the EV-K170 as fast as you can because the two numbers' feature is powerful enough to attract a great number of buyers without the need of any advanced set of features and a mind-blowing design.

There is one single thing that I don't like about this handset and that is its availability only in Korea. I'll have to move there in the near future if I don't want to miss every single cool handset launched on the mobile market and I advise you to do the same. The faster, the better.
