Now that Intel's Gulftown six-core central processing unit is out in the open, various PC makers have started showing off their respective gaming systems that now have the option of including the superpowered monster. In the wake of such announcements, A-Data has come to offer some variety and has officially debuted what the company says will satisfy enthusiasts’ “insatiable thirst for ultimate gaming experiences.” The company's new product is a DDR3 memory product known as the XPG Gaming Series DDR3-1600G 8GB dual channel kit.

The new dual channel DDR3 memory kit is optimized for 64-bit operating systems and was shown, by tests, to operate at latency settings of 9-9-9-24 at 1.55V-1.75V. It has Serial Presence Detect (SPD) programmed at JEDEC standard DDR3-1333 with the same latencies for basic system booting and is also backwards compatible with DDR3-1333 and DDR3-1066. The modules also use a high-quality 6-layer PCB (printed circuit board).

“The ultimate gaming experiences are relying on proper choice of PC hardware and overall performance. Therefore, we introduced XPG Gaming Series DDR3-1600G as 8GB dual channel kit.” Action Chen, deputy project manager of the A-DATA XPG Department, said. “Gaming enthusiasts are able now to enjoy the extreme capacity and high speed by using XPG Gaming Series DDR3-1600G 8GB dual channel kit with 64 bit OS and satisfy their insatiable thirst for ultimate gaming experiences.”

The official press release on the company's website states that the XPG Gaming Series DDR3-1600G 8GB dual channel kit is accompanied by a limited lifetime warranty and that it is already being handed out through selected distributors and resellers. Unfortunately, the company has not disclosed any pricing and availability details, still, the kit should hit stores soon and, until then, end-users may find full information on the XPG gaming series DRAM modules and kits on the company's official website.
