Since new processors and graphics cards have filled the market over the past month, all that remains is for new memory products to emerge and totally new PCs can be set up quite readily, so A-Data has just unveiled such an offering.

Like so many other companies, A-Data has been making memory products of various kinds for years, low-end to high-end.

The newest AMD APUs (accelerated processing units) may not actually be meant for powerful machines, but Intel's Sandy Bridge CPUs are a different matter.

Since the second generation Core series does have quite mighty models, they have already started to be used in gaming systems.

A-Data's newest memory products are meant for this very sort of high-end personal computers and are an addition to the XPG Gaming Series V2.0.

Two dual-channel kits have been prepared, according to the company's most recent press release, their capacities being of 4 GB and 8 GB, respectively.

They are of the DDR3 1,866 MHz (8 GB) and 2,133 MHz (4 GB) varieties and are “seen as evidence that the company is well-prepared for a surge in the next generation of motherboards.”

Besides their speed and capacities, the newcomers are quite identical, boasting timings of CL 9-11-9-27 and an operating voltage of 1.65 V.

What's more, they feature the benefits of a 2oz double-copper PCB (Printed Circuit Board), while aluminum heatspreaders, using the Thermal Conductive Technology (TCT), handle heat dissipation (the memory chips are in direct contact with the heatspreader).

The press release, unsurprisingly, did not have any concrete information on the prices, but did mention that all information currently available could be found on the official website.

Of course, since the XPG Gaming Series V2.0 DDR3 2133G and 1866G memory kits are being distributed through resellers, it shouldn't take long for listing to reveal this final detail.
