A-Data may be better known for its various storage and memory solutions, but it also deals in power supplies, having finally unleashed a collection of such units that was actually unveiled back in 2010.

It would appear that things are no longer so dead silent on the IT market, at least as far as hardware goes.

For some reason or another, there has been surprisingly little movement on the PC and components market as of late, even despite the CeBIT and MWC (mobile world congress) trade shows.

Still, even though things are a bit slow, they are not really stagnating, as A-Data still took the time to start shipping the HM power supply line.

Originally unveiled back in October, 2010, it is a series intended for gamers and enthusiasts, meaning that all members have high efficiency levels and wattage capable of coping with even the hungriest hardware.

That said, five units exist, with outputs of 550 W, 650 W, 750 W, 850 W and 1,200 W, respectively, and they all are described in detail one the official website.

That said, their efficiency rating is of up to 85%, which earned them the 80Plus Bronze certification, though this is just one of their assets.

Another advantage is that they were made with a modular design, meaning that owners will be able to add and remove whatever cables they wish.

Furthermore, 100% Japanese capacitors are used for the extra stability and lifespan, while NVIDIA SLI certification makes it clear that multi-GPU setups are fully supported.

Other specifications include compliance with the ATX 12V v2.2 and EPS 12V v2.3 standards, active PFC, a tri-color fan (dual ball bearing), one 12V rail each (two on the 1,200W model) and a MTBF of 100,000 hours.

With prices ranging between 82 and 171 Euro, the products are backed by three-year warranties.
