No matter if the iPhone is going to be announced today or not, you won't get your hands on one anytime soon - I can bet on that - but you can get an interface to connect your iPod to your phone and make them work together. The name of the device I am talking about is BluEye, and it comes from Gear4. Do you want to know more about it? Sure, no problem, here you go!

BluEye is an interface that was designed to accomplish the task of connecting your iPod to a Bluetooth 2.0-equipped cell phone. Even better than just that, the BluEye has a built-in FM radio receiver and allows you to use it as a remote control for your iPod. The colors available for this device are black and white, and its price is 98.08$.

After connecting the iPod with your Bluetooth-equipped cell phone, you will be able to hear a ringtone in your headphones each time you get an incoming call, and even check the caller's ID shown on your iPod's display. Obviously, the music will be automatically paused, and once the call is finished, you will get your music back without having to push a single button! The BluEye can also let you make calls, being able to perform voice-activated dialing, if the phoine supports this capability.

The built-in FM receiver can store up to 15 station presets, and the manual tuning can be done using the buttons of the device. The BluEye works with fourth and fifth generation iPods, the iPod mini and first and second generation nanos, and all Bluetooth 2.0-equipped cell phones. There's no need for additional batteries, because the BluEye uses the iPod's ones, and a clip lets you attach it to your clothes. The device is firmware-upgradeable and lets you use your favorite headphones without problems. Are you ready to make your iPod, your cell phone and, of course, yourself, a useful Christmas present? Then think about getting a BluEye!
