1991 was the year when the Japanese company CEC first introduced their belt-driven CD player, a new and more stable concept, promising to eliminate a lot of the perturbing factors many discerning audiophiles have been detecting even in the operation of their high-end units. All sorts of vibrations, electromagnetic resonance and noises, along with other things commonly associated with the proximity of an electric motor and whose presence was not desirable, to say the least.

Seventeen years after that great moment, CEC decided it was high time to bring forth an upgrade to their successful CD player and are now proudly announcing the new TL1N player.

The CEC TL1N incorporates the latest technologies in belt-transmission, guaranteed to deliver spectacular results in terms of accurately reading the data recorded on the disc and faithfully reproducing it to be transmitted through the rest of the audio chain. The TL1N boasts one of the newest DA (Digital to Audio) conversion modules available in the CEC labs and a highly-sophisticated speed control module to make sure that the belt is spinning as it should all the time.

CEC claim that by stabilizing the rotation speed and by separating the motor from the rest of the parts inside the TL1N CD player, a new standard in the industry can be spoken of. Discerning audiophiles throughout the world also declared that by eliminating the resonance and vibrations caused by the direct-drive traditional CD mechanisms, the resulting listening experience seemed to boast more detail and a more true-to-life character when compared to traditional CD players.

Built using high-class materials and with an impeccable, top-drawer craftsmanship, the new CEC TL1N offers optical/TOSLink, coaxial, AES/EBU and Superlink digital outputs letting you get the best your favorite CD music has to offer. If you are looking for such a state-of-the-art CD player, you'd better prepare to fork out some $7,000+, because high-end audiophile Japanese gear never comes in cheap.
