Microsoft’s new CEO Satya Nadella said he wants people to love Windows and with Windows 10, the company goes all-in on this strategy, trying to offer users the features they want and need the most to get things done.

The Start menu is back, multiple desktops are finally available, Cortana makes her debut on the PC, and Internet Explorer is gone. This is how Microsoft wants to make people love Windows 10.

And according to a survey conducted by Brand Watch, 92 percent of the users love Windows 10 already.

Basically, researchers monitored social media and online discussions on Windows 10 to determine how many people love or hate the new operating system, but also to find out the feature that takes the leading place in either category.

It turns out that 92 percent of the users actually love Windows 10, but the percentage varies by day, so as the operating system became available to more people and everyone got used to it, the number of those who no longer used the word “love” to describe it was increasing.

Cortana and the Start menu

As far as the features that are available in Windows 10 are concerned, the study shows that Cortana is the most loved feature in the operating system, while the Start menu is at the opposite pole.

Shockingly, most people hate the Start menu, which is quite surprising given the fact that Redmond brought it back in Windows 10 after the removal from Windows 8’s feature lineup. The Start menu was reintroduced with much fanfare, but it turns out that users don’t actually like the new layout, the live tiles, or the modern approach that Microsoft decided to adopt in Windows 10.

In the end, the only good thing is that Windows 10 is indeed becoming the operating system that users love, but it remains to be seen how long this is going to last.
