Last week, on Friday, an elderly man in the US ended up smashing his four-wheeler into as many as 9 cars while trying to leave the parking lot of a Piggly Wiggly grocery store.

The incident was caught on film by security cameras and the footage has since gone viral. You can find it below, just in case you have about a minute to spare and happen to be in the mood to have some fun.

The man insists it was not his fault

The elderly driver, identified as 92-year-old Russell Kerr, maintains that this unfortunate and quite amusing incident was by no means his fault. On the contrary, he says that it was just a mishap.

The man explains that, while he was trying to leave the parking lot of the Piggly Wiggly grocery store in the town of Mayville in Wisconsin, his foot somehow got caught on the gas pedal.

The 92-year-old further details that, when this happened, he pretty much freaked out. Being all panicky, he lost control of the wheel and drove his four-wheeler into several parked cars.

The accidental crashes made him even more agitated than he already was. Hence the fact that, moments after hitting the stationary vehicles, he also smashed into an SUV that was just then entering the parking lot.

The good news is that, although bumping into as many as 9 cars in less than a minute, 92-year-old Russell Kerr did not injure anybody. In fact, he too got away without a scratch.

The owners of the damaged vehicles must now file insurance claims. Thus, it is only a matter of time until their cars are once again in top shape, waiting to carry them to Piggly Wiggly grocery stores.

The police agreed the affair was just an accident

Daily Mail tells us that, after looking at the security footage showing 92-year-old Russell Kerr hitting the 9 cars and interviewing the driver, the police officers handling the case agreed that the entire affair was not the man's fault.

Consequently, they decided not to file any charges against the elderly driver. Instead, they asked that the local Department of Motor Vehicles review the 92-year-old man's license.

Provided that he manages to pass the tests officials with the Department of Motor Vehicles have in store for him, Russell Kerr will soon be behind the wheel once more.
