A man from Altoona, Pennsylvania has riled up conspiracy theories on the elusive Bigfoot by making a 911 call telling police he has irrefutable evidence of the existence of the Sasquatch.

John Winesickle showed officers the alleged proof in the form of footprints that were written off as bear prints, the Daily Mail wrote.

Bigfoot enthusiasts in the area heard of the May 14 incident and blew it up to a story about the mystery beast being shot by a turkey hunter in the area.

Many traveled to Somerset County, where Bigfoot was allegedly shot on either Russell or Rustic road, with some even claiming that a body existed. No remains have been found, however, and the story doesn't stand up.

An audio of the 911 call that started it all is posted above.

“That's affirmative, he has evidence, uh... proving Bigfoot. He would like a police officer to come there," an officer says.
