As you probably know by now, Microsoft will bring back the Start button in Windows 8.1, so third-party developers are hard at work to update their apps for the upcoming operating system.

8StartButton is one of the apps that could bring the Start Menu back on a Windows 8 PC, so the company behind the project has just updated it to improve its overall performance.

According to the official release notes, 8StartButton 1.2.4 comes with multiple code optimizations, so expect the app to work smoother and act just like a built-in Start button.

Keep in mind that Windows 8.1 is believed to come with an option to disable the new Start button as well, so third-party apps could still enjoy a terrific success among users who wish to stick to the famous Start Menu.
