8StartButton has received a new update this morning, so in case you are already using it to make Windows 8.1 a bit more familiar, make sure you get the new build as soon as possible.

Version 2.5.2 doesn’t bring any major changes in the way the app works, but it does come to fix a bug that was found in the previous releases and affecting the online update feature.

According to the official release notes, the new build should correctly detect an active Internet connection, so the online update feature should work just like it was supposed to from the very beginning.

Of course, 8StartButton continues to offer support for all Windows builds currently on the market, so you can install it even if you’ve already made the switch to Windows 8.1.

Overall, this isn’t quite a must install update, but it’s still a smart choice to run the latest version, so download 8StartButton 2.5.2 right now from Softpedia.
