Apple’s Special Deals area now displays five sub-$1,000 systems, four of which are priced at $849 each, saving their lucky buyers $150 on their purchase of a new Macintosh computer.

Be it portable or a desktop Mac, everyone can have their choice today.

The first system listed by Apple is a Refurbished MacBook Air 1.86GHz Intel Core 2 Duo originally released in mid 2009 with a 13.3-inch glossy widescreen display, 2GB memory, 120GB SATA hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics, and built-in iSight Camera.

To be noted that this is not the redesigned version of the computer, but the updated older version, which is why we’d like to point your attention to the second MacBook Air Apple has on offer.

Admittedly lower specced, the Refurbished MacBook Air 1.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo originally released October 2010 boasts an 11.6-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display, and the same 2GB of standard memory.

However, this new-generation Air comes with 64GB  of solid-state storage goodness (SSD), and NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics for the same price - $849.

As mentioned above, a couple more Macs go for the same price, one of which is a refurbished SKU of Apple's all time popular MacBook 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.

The other, a Refurbished Mac mini with Snow Leopard Server originally launched in June 2010 is truly a bargain with a 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB memory, Dual 500GB Serial ATA hard disk drives (for a total of 1TB of storage), HDMI port with support for up to 1920-by-1200 resolution, and NVIDIA GeForce 320M with 256MB memory.

Last, but certainly not least, a Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo going for $929 saves buyers a substantial $270. Here are the specs:

Refurbished MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo - Originally released April 2010 - 13.3-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display - 4GB (2 x 2GB) of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 250GB Serial ATA @ 5400 rpm - 8x double-layer SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW) - NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics processor with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory.
