According to a recent survey carried out by folks working with the Yale Project on Climate Change Communication, quite a lot of people currently living in the United States believe that the country must take action against climate change and global warming.

More precisely, it would appear that 83% of Americans are now in favor of climate change action, Clean Techies tells us.

What's interesting is that, although some are opposed to the idea of having the push for sustainability negatively affect their finances, an impressive number of people are willing to pay more for energy, provided that it comes from clean sources.

Thus, some 56% of the people questioned as part of this investigation would agree to pay another $100 (€73.3) on electricity yearly, should power companies see to it that 20% of the energy they offer results from harvesting renewables.

When asked where the responsibility to limit climate change and global warming lies, 65% of Americans responded that corporations and industries should do more to improve on their ecological footprint.

On the other hand, 61% said that regular folks should also become actively involved in efforts to limit said phenomena.
