It seems that Huntkey managed to create a certain pair of power supplies that earned themselves one of the highest labels in terms of energy efficiency, even though they do have a power output of up to 1,200W.

Basically, Huntkey created two PSUs and put them on display in Beijing for all end-users present to see.

One of them has a wattage of just 300 W and targets mainstream users, while the other one is clearly aimed at enthusiasts and/or overclockers, as it is rated at 1,200W.

As far as specifications go, the 1,200W model is a modified X7 1,200W and has six 12V rails, plus a MTBF of 100,000 hours.

The unit also boasts CRAM interleaved PFC, a DV to DV module, synchronous rectification and a phase-shifted full-bridge.

It is also compliant with the ATX12V V2.3 and EPS12V V2.92 specifications.

Its efficiency is not made explicit in the press release, but one can assume it is the same or close to that of the 300W (91%).

“Today's launching of 80PLUS Gold certified power supplies are dedicated to both OC fans and mainstream groups alike. We hope to bring energy-saving, safe, high quality but cost-effective products to more users." said Huntkey Global Marketing Manager Mr. Liu.

"300W and 1200W 80PLUS gold certified power supplies stand for Huntkey pursuit of two extremes, one for high-end quality, and the other for entry level users. The Surmounting theme shows Huntkey's determination for surmounting and innovation." added another Huntkey representative in charge of the conference in Beijing.

"The X7 1200W silver version got great feedback from many global OC fans after their testing, and as for its upgraded version, I think it will impress users as well,” stated Villa Li, Huntkey global marketing manager.

“This version is launching worldwide. For 300W 80PLUS gold version, it will be sold first in mainland China and will come to the global market soon."
